In December 2021, Luca Schnetzler (aka LucaNetz) was involved in holding a fake Bored Ape Yacht Club nft giveaway. The deceptive marketing of a Bored Ape Yacht Club giveaway (BAYC#8085) was to entice investors to buy in. Which resulted in significant financial losses for participants.
