pretending to be a friend
Scam/Fraud Info:
Pretended to be friend, posting company will give $2400-7900 if they can see number in an image, direct message through Facebook and am told "how the company works, is through tax breaks" but to get x amount of money, person has to do a series of things before they get more money; usually in gift cards. Then because they need to get more money for a personal verification code, they need more money to get it through. Usually through gift cards, or through PayPal (which I stupidly did). Then, "friend" will have you give your phone number to their "accountant" so the "accountant" can contact you. Asking for Facebook email & password so they can attach the payment into your account. Also asks for a valid ID. (I stopped here). Obviously, they scam you, steal your money, steal your Facebook account, and then tell you, you can't get your money back.
Reports are submitted by people globally. If there is enough evidence, it's likely a scam. Celebrity impersonators are always considered scammers, often stealing money and resorting to blackmail if you've shared sensitive photos.
