The goal of these messages is to make you feel urgent so you’ll click on a link or call a number. If you do, the scammer can steal your personal information, take over your Amazon account, or make you buy gift cards, which they then sell for cash.
Always be careful and don’t trust messages asking for your personal details or payment info. If you’re unsure, contact Amazon directly through their official website or customer service.
