Elon Musk's platform, X (formerly Twitter), has made another big mistake with their paid blue checkmark system. They verified a fake account pretending to be actor Keanu Reeves. This fake account not only fooled people into thinking it was real but is also being used by scammers to trick fans.

The scammer behind the fake account responds to fans (https://x.com/Keanuu017Reeves/status/1833377614397931894), thanking them for their support and asking them to message him privately. Once they do, he directs them to other platforms like Telegram or WhatsApp, where he tries to steal their money. This type of scam is well-known, yet X continues to make it easy for scammers by verifying these fake accounts.
Keanu Reeves has officially confirmed that he is not on X (Twitter) or any other social media platforms. In an interview with Vanity Fair, he stated clearly that he does not have an account and does not use social media at all.

What Happened to X's Parody Policy?
According to X’s own policies, impersonation is not allowed. The platform states that users cannot pose as someone else to mislead people, especially by using names and images of real individuals without making it clear that they are running a parody or fan account.
